Dust Removal : There's some machines that can remove dust from air. They use static electricity to change the charges in the dust particles.  This makes the dust stick to a plate or filter of the purifier, because it has an opposite charge to the dust.

Photocopy: Photocopy machines use static electricity to attract the ink to areas where we need things copied. It uses the charges to apply the ink only in the areas where the paper has to be copied, so basically where it is darker with words or pictures not where the paper is white.
